Pret launches fruit scone in time for Mother’s Day

Pret has relaunched their fruit scones for the first time in 10 years, just in time for Mother’s Day

The famous café company has announced the launch of its freshly baked fruit scone.

Available just in time for Mother’s Day, Pret a Manger’s new Fruit Scone is loaded with delicious sultanas, with the optional accompaniment of Rodda's Classic Cornish Clotted Cream and a mini jar of Bonne Maman Strawberry Conserve.

Initially launching in around 70 shops across the UK, including Harrogate, Orpington and Canterbury, Pret plans to roll out the service to more shops later this year.

Pret is bringing back fruit scones to its menu for the first time in 10 years.

The scones are then glazed with free-range whole egg to give a distinctive shine, promising a crisp, golden crust and a delicate, delightful rise.

More than scones

Katherine Bagshawe, UK Food & Coffee Director at Pret, said: “We’re excited to launch Pret’s Fruit Scone, crafted with love, baked to perfection, and served with a Pret smile. Made using high-quality ingredients and developed to have the perfect amount of crumble, the fruity sultana scones are a perfect afternoon tea treat, served with Rodda's Classic Cornish Clotted Cream and a mini jar of Bonne Maman Strawberry Conserve. We felt it was the right time to bring back scones as we continue to expand our range for our shops outside of the city.”

Club Pret subscribers will be able to get 20% off the new scones as part of their usual 20% discount on everything sold in-shop and up to five barista-made drinks per day. This includes Pret’s full range of organic coffees, teas and hot chocolates, which are the perfect accompaniments to the delicious fruit scones.
