McDonald's reports 0.4% global sales growth for Q4

McDonald's has announced its financial results, reporting on both its fourth quarter figures and full year results.

McDonald's global systemwide sales were over $130 billion for the full year, with full year growth of more than $1 billion (more than $2 billion in constant currencies).

Looking at its fourth quarter figures, the brand saw an increase of 0.4% in global comparable sales. Systemwide sales increased by 2%. However, the US experienced a 1.4% decrease in sales.

As for its full year results, McDonald's has noted that global comparable sales have decreased by 0.1%, despite systemwide sales increasing by 1%. The US market also overcame its poor performance in the fourth quarter, by increasing US saless by 0.2% for 2024. 

CEO Chris Kempczinski said: “Accelerating the Arches continues to be the right strategy as we focus on growing market share. We’re playing to win, focusing on our customers with outstanding value, exciting menu innovation and culturally relevant marketing.”
