Boxpark Shoreditch temporarily saved from closure

Boxpark Shoreditch will remain open until September 2025

Following a length campaign and support from its local community, Boxpark in London's Shoreditch has been saved from closure.

The dining, leisure and retail outlet will remain open until end of September 2025, following backing from its landlords and key stakeholders, including Greater London Authority and London Boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets.

Since its opening in 2011, Boxpark Shoreditch has attracted over 1.25m visitors each year, hosting over 250 independent brands and generating almost £100m economic value for the area.

"The support we've received from the community has been nothing short of inspiring," says Boxpark COO Ben McLaughlin. "The extension of our lease provides certainty to the 47 small, independent businesses and hundreds of their employees across our Shoreditch site. We are absolutely thrilled to continue our journey in Shoreditch and remain committed to providing a platform for independent businesses and a vibrant space for our customers."

The venue will now host a series of events and initiatives to celebrate its extended lease and the community that made it possible.

Boxpark is set to open its next venue in Birmingham this year.
