Finalists for Freakshake Challenge 2025 announced

The Freakshake Challenge returns next month, with 10 operators from around the UK being selected for the live final.

Back for a second year, the competition will take place as part of the National Burger Awards at London’s Big Penny Social on Tuesday, 11 February. 

Running alongside the live burger showdown – which this year features the likes of Patty & Bun, Mollie’s and Tom Kerridge’s Butcher’s Tap and Grill (full line-up here) – nine brands will go head-to-head to create the most impressive freakshake in a bid to claim the Freakshake of the Year crown.

This year’s champ will take the title from Francesca Hudspeth of MeatCastles, who claimed the inaugural prize in 2024 with the ‘Forbidden Fruit shake’ – an apple crumble-inspired creation.
