Tube strikes set to return to London in November
Aslef has ordered walkouts to occur on November 7 and 12 over pay disputes
London Underground drivers and other workers are set to strike for the first half of November after rejecting a pay offer from Transport for London (TfL).
The strikes will take place from 1 to 16 November. Most tube workers are represented by ASLEF and the RMT, who have rejected TfL's proposal.
London Underground drivers, instructors, managers and engineers who are all a part of ASLEF will strike across four days in November. They will also not work any over time.
While RMT members, which includes maintenance and engineering staff, controllers, emergency responders, signallers and engineering staff, will strike between 1 and 8 November.
Two 24-hour walkouts have been set for November 7 and 12, which will shut down the entire tube network.
The pay offer being rejected included a 3.8% increase, plus a variable lump sum. With many stating that the amount 'falls short of what members deserve'. TfL also refuses to reduce working week hours and introduce a paid meal relief plan.
