German Doner Kebab rolls out new vegetarian menu

The new plant based menu will launch in 140 German Doner Kebab restaurants across the UK

In what marks a milestone move for the global brand, they will be introducing a plant-based doner option to its esteemed menu. 

German Doner Kebab (GDK) boldly ventures into the realm of plant-based options and expanding its current vegetarian offering.

The new menu

In an exciting new partnership, GDK proudly presents a meat-free alternative in the form of Nestlé Professional’s GARDEN GOURMET® Vegan Pulled Fillet.

The GARDEN GOURMET® Vegan Pulled Fillet is a fibre-packed alternative that seamlessly integrates into GDK's commitment to excellent-tasting kebabs.

The pulled chicken-style doner, expertly infused with GDK’s signature spice blend, will be available as an alternative choice of protein across all mains, including their famous OG Kebab, meaning an increase of eight additional vegetarian options available for guests, providing a total of ten vegetarian options.

The renamed 'OV Kebab' is a newly developed dish featuring the doner-meat alternative, served on toasted waffle bread and garnished with fresh lettuce, red cabbage, sliced onions, tomatoes, and GDK’s three signature sauces - yoghurt, garlic and spicy. The 'OV Kebab' promises a juicy bite every time. For those embracing or intrigued by a plant-based lifestyle, the 'OV Kebab' can be easily customised to suit, ensuring a satisfying dining experience for all. 

As one of the fastest-growing restaurant groups in the country, GDK has a history of introducing pioneering products to the market, having wowed breakfast enthusiasts with the release of its innovative Breakfast doner range in 2023 and launching the UK’s first-ever pink kebab in 2022.
