KERB to open first international venue
Street food market operator, KERB, will open its first overseas venue next month in San Francisco
Following the most profitable year in business, the operator has announced it's first overseas venture, with two more in the pipeline.
KERB will open plant-forward food hall, Saluhall, in partnership with Ikea's parent comany, Ingka Centres and Nordic chef, Claus Meyer.
The venue located at 945 Market Street, San Francisco, is 23,000sq ft. They are currently aiming to showcase an 80% plant-based offer from local food and drink producers and traders.
Further ventures
The launch of the first overseas venue in San Francisco will be followed by a second overseas project in Copenhagen. This will be a white label partnership.
Following these two international launches, Seven Dials Market will gain it's first official sibling in Berlin. The full Berlin KERB food hall is set to open towards the end of this year.
At its recent annual member summit, KERB announced an increase in gross sales of £23.5m in 2023, a 40% rise on the £17m made in 2022. This growth has been spurred by an increase in public, private and retail events trade, with the business feeding over 900,000 event guests and generating £8m in gross revenue for members.
In 2023, KERB delivered almost 1,800 market trading days, almost 500 event opportunities and 365 days of trading at its flagship food hall, Seven Dials Market.
