Established in 1995, Vista Technology Support embarked on a mission to deliver top-tier EPoS and retail IT hardware maintenance services to prominent retail enterprises across the UK. Its journey began with Primark as its inaugural customer, a physical retailer with ambitions for expansion throughout the UK and Europe. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Vista's growth surged as it secured EPoS maintenance contracts with some of the largest and most recognised names in the UK's retail and hospitality landscape.
One of the latest milestones in Vista's impressive journey is the strategic partnership with Costa Coffee, the beloved UK coffee icon. This partnership further solidifies Vista's remarkable growth over the past four years and reinforces its position as an industry leader.
At the heart of Vista's mission is the unwavering commitment to its Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) philosophy. With this approach, Vista is dedicated to significantly reducing system faults and outages in Costa Coffee's extensive network of over 1,500 stores across the UK. The overarching goal is to ensure uninterrupted operational excellence and provide customers with an exceptional coffee experience.
Vista's impressive expansion has encompassed a multitude of esteemed national organisations in the Grocery, Retail, Hospitality, and Healthcare sectors. Vista extends its presence in the hospitality domain, complementing existing partnerships with the UK's largest hotelier and restaurateur. and is now the largest independent provider of retail, hospitality, and pharmacy technology deployment and support services in the UK.
Vista’s CEO, James Pepper, commented: “I am immensely proud of my colleagues at Vista; together we find solutions to our retail, hospitality, and pharmacy clients’ technology challenges so that they can be free to focus on providing great service to their customers.
Vista’s success is predominantly due to a strong people culture where our colleagues genuinely care about our clients’ success, and add value ensuring we contribute more to the relationship than just contractual compliance. We are unrivalled in store, restaurant, and pharmacy technology expertise with the capability to deliver large-scale technology transformation projects.”
Another noteworthy collaboration is with Heart with Smart, who own and operate Pizza Hut’s 'dine-in' restaurants and Itsu's 'quick service' restaurants (QSRs) seven days a week. Vista's agility and excellence as an IT service provider play a pivotal role in maximising uptime for Heart with Smart's business-critical in-restaurant technology, covering EPoS/Point-of-Service systems, Kitchen Management Systems, and back-office IT.
The multi-year contract award encompasses on-site field hardware maintenance for all Heart with Smart's restaurant locations, leveraging Vista's highly experienced onsite field service engineering and in-house Repair Centre for system refurbishment, repair, and redeployment. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the longevity and reliability of EPoS and restaurant technology assets while championing sustainability by introducing Vista’s Repair as a Service, repurposing and recycling best practices.
Heart with Smart also plans to harness Vista's restaurant IT Project and IMAC services, facilitating their digital transformation roadmap and managing new store openings and refits.
In another remarkable achievement, Vista recently collaborated with Odeon Cinemas in its UK and Ireland sites completing a complex PED replacement project, migrating 121 cinemas onto new PEDs at the tills and kiosks exceeding expectations by completing the project three weeks ahead of the planned schedule. This intricate project involved multiple functions within Odeon and several key third parties, showcasing Vista's expertise and dedication.
Commenting on Vista’s success, James Pepper remarked: “Vista continues to grow organically within the UK and has positioned itself as the trusted IT services partner to many of the UK and Ireland’s most loved brands.
