Leon launches new app

Leon is set to launch the first iteration of its new app, Leon Club. It will go live tomorrow offering free fries to members.

The move follows learnings gained from Leon’s web-based click-and-collect platform last year. The chain saw its web smart order customer frequency increase to a level that guests began asking for a mobile app to make it easier to use more often. A survey of newsletter subscribers then found that customers wanted one that put digital loyalty at its core.

In response to this, the new app will allow users to pre-order restaurant food, easily reorder their favourite dishes and earn points along the way. For every £1 spent, users will receive 100 points. After spending £30 (the equivalent of three average lunch orders), customers will be able to redeem their 3,000 points against anything on the menu for free.

As users journey to reach 3,000 points, they will also receive a number of mini milestones along the way in the way of treats and freebies. This will include the Freefries promotion that will be offered from 21st February.
