Bunsik expands into Bristol
Bunsik opens at Cabot Circus on 20 September with planned giveaways and celebrations
Bunsik is opening its eighth site at Cabot Circus, Bristol, on Saturday 20 September.
The launch marks the brand’s first South West location.
True to Bunsik tradition, the Bristol opening will be celebrated with a week of exclusive launch offers.
On 20 and 21 September, the first 100 customers each day will receive a free Korean corn dog, with 50% off all corn dogs offered for the rest of the day.
Celebrations will then continue throughout the week: 50% off Korean Fried Chicken (22-23 September); 50% off Tteokbokki (24-25 September); and 50% off Cup Bap bowls (26 September).
The Cabot Circus menu will showcase Bunsik’s signature Korean corn dogs, with mozzarella and chicken fillings. Guests can enjoy Tteokbokki, kimbap, and crispy Korean Fried Chicken, alongside a range of burgers and wraps. Rice bowls include Cup Bap and traditional Bibimbap. Halal meat is used across the menu, with vegetarian options also available.
First franchise
The Bristol restaurant also marks a milestone as Bunsik’s first franchise site, launched in partnership with local entrepreneur Will Bray.
Founder Jae Cho commented: “This is such an exciting milestone for Bunsik as we open in Bristol, a city with such a vibrant food scene. Cabot Circus is the perfect location for our debut here, and we’re thrilled to bring our bold and playful take on Korean street food to a brand-new audience.”
With extensive experience in the franchising sector, Will Bray previously operated four Subway branches across the South West, and sat on Subway’s national marketing board during his seven years as a franchisee.
Will commented: “I explored many different franchise brands, but Bunsik really stood out. The food and flavours are exceptional, and Jae’s experience as a restaurateur, backed by a talented team, gave me real confidence in the brand. That passion and expertise convinced me this was the right next step, and I’m excited to be part of growing the UK’s No.1 Korean street food brand.”
