Doughnut Time announces expansion plans

Doughnut Time opened its first outlet in Oxford recently, marking the brand’s 15th permanent site to open in the UK. It launchs the next step of the chain’s plan to open 50 new stores across the UK over the next three to five years, following 20% per annum growth over the last three.

Alongside site expansion, Doughnut Time will aim to grow its e-commerce side of the business with its online store now accounting for 30% of the company’s sales. It will also roll out its first line of cookies and is working on a range of made-to-order drinks to complement its doughnut range.

“We’re excited to roll out Doughnut Time to the rest of the UK, having built up a loyal following in London,” said Thomas Anderson, founder of Doughnut Time UK. “We were able to successfully navigate the pandemic without needing to restructure and we now employ 200 people as a business, which gives a solid foundation to build from.”
