Speciality Breads opens new innovation kitchen

Red Tractor-certified British baker Speciality Breads is targeting further growth after tripling its office space and launching a new innovation kitchen in Margate. The new space includes a reception and seating area for guests, meeting room facilities and, most importantly, an innovation/presentation kitchen.

MD Simon Cannell said: “On the back of another incredibly positive 12 months, this investment is laying the foundations for further innovation and growth. It ensures that we can work even more closely with our customers to showcase our existing range and also create, develop and test the next generation of our unique products.”

The company has also confirmed the addition of Alan Allman to its senior management team, in the position of finance and operations director. Cannell added: “Alan comes to us with a wealth of experience gained at director level within the finance sector and is also a qualified business adviser and HR specialist. He has been working with us in a private capacity for the past few months, and it was a natural progression for him to become a more permanent addition to the management team.”
