Throughout December, 50p from every loaf of bread (400g or larger) from a range of 12 different varieties sold at Paul was donated to London-based charity The Felix Project’s latest programme, Help a Hungry Child. Having raised £15,013 for the charity last year, Paul continues its support by donating unsold products to the charity on a daily basis.
The Felix Project distributes London’s surplus fresh food that would otherwise go to waste to feed the homeless, those living in poverty and families struggling to get by. This year’s Christmas campaign aimed to raise the funds to feed primary school children across London, no matter what their circumstances are.
Jean-Michel Orieux, CEO of Paul UK, said: “The Felix Project is a close charity of ours and we are honoured with the progress we have made so far. Being able to feed young children around this time of year is an initiative we are delighted to be a part of and have every confidence that we can raise a higher sum this winter.”
